Airbnb setup, about 60 seconds

Adding HostAssist as a co-host on your Airbnb listing

You only need to do this once per listing. It adds us as a co-host on your Airbnb listing so we can manage your pricing, calendar and guest messages. It does not change who owns the listing, who holds the account, or who gets paid. Payouts keep going to you exactly as they do now.

What this access lets us do for you

Access is not the goal, it is the key. Once we are a co-host, three streams of work start.

Pricing optimisation. Right now your nightly rates are whatever they were last set to. With access we price every night individually, moving rates with demand, day of week, season, local events and how far out the date is. Gaps get filled with targeted discounts, and busy dates stop selling for less than they should.

Promotions that pay for themselves. Airbnb rewards well-run promotions with extra visibility. Run badly, they just give margin away. We only switch on discounts and campaigns where the extra bookings are worth more than the discount costs, and we turn them off when they stop earning.

Listing optimisation. Your description, photos, amenity list and settings decide where you rank in search and how many viewers turn into bookings. We audit your listing against what Airbnb actually rewards, fix what is missing or wrong, and keep content fresh so rankings do not drift. An amenity box left unticked is invisible to a guest filtering for it.

What to do

  1. Sign in to Airbnb and go to Hosting at airbnb.com/hosting.
  2. Open Listings and click the listing you want us on.
  3. In the listing editor, open Co-hosts.
  4. Click Invite a co-host (Airbnb sometimes labels it Invite a friend).
  5. Enter our email address exactly as shown below.
  6. When Airbnb asks what we can do, choose Full access, then send the invite.

Please send an invite to each of the emails below. Repeat steps 4 to 6 for each one, so more than one person here can help you rather than everything waiting on one inbox. If your listing has more than one property, repeat this for each listing.

Which permission level to pick

Airbnb asks how much a co-host can do. Here is what each level means and why we ask for full access. You can change or remove it at any time.

Airbnb optionPick?What it means
Full accessYesWe can manage pricing, calendar, guest messages, listing content and reservations. This is everything we are engaged to do.
Calendar and inbox accessNoWe could message guests and block dates, but not fix your pricing or listing content. Half the job.
Calendar accessNoDates only. We could not even reply to a guest.

What full access does not include

Why co-host rather than a login

Some managers ask owners to hand over their Airbnb password. Do not do that, for anyone. It breaks Airbnb's rules and it means you cannot see what is being done in your name.

The co-host route is Airbnb's own way of doing this. Every action we take is logged against our account, you keep full visibility, and you can remove us at any time without touching your own login.

What happens next

We get an email and accept. You will see us listed under Co-hosts on your listing. Nothing changes for you. Your ownership, your payouts and your Airbnb account all stay exactly as they are.
